RUCSU Election Moved from 25 September to 16 October

According to the info, RUCSU Election has been moved from 25 September to 25 October for the quota issue. The Rajshahi University central senate union, hall union, and senate took the decisions on 22 September Monday evening during the RUCSU election commission meeting.

After that RUCSU’S chief election commissioner, professor Nazrul Islam approved that the overall condition of the University is not ok at this moment. So we need to think about the senate student representative elections in detail. The meeting expresses that the university has to postpone some times. Right now is not the correct time to vote.

The election has been postponed for two reasons: One is, the teachers, officers and staff announced that the University programme completely has been shut down. And the second reason is that the required number of teachers don’t want to participate to carry out the election responsibilities.

At this moment the RUCSU commission says that this will not be ok going against the teachers and staff to make the election. So the election will be held from 25 September to 16 October with everyone’s remarks.

But The Chhatra Shibir VP candidate and president want the election to be held on 25 September. So they are facing a little problem about the opinion in the University between the Shibir and the other competitor of the university.
